Leftovers.


Every once in a while, I go through all the photos I've shot over any given period of time and reevaluate them....I'm constantly surprised by
things that I see that I didn't see before, and how my eye has change for what I find appealing..most of these are ones that I either didn't like the way they came out (for one reason or another) or never got around to posting for whatever reason. There were actually about 50 that I found that I really liked and am in the process of getting prints made of, but these are a few that I thought I'd share. Most of them are either friends or were taken on vacation or while working....anywho, here they are.

so...enjoy.

ps - some of the file sizes are kinda....hefty...nothing too crazy, just...not for the faint of bandwidth.

(I followed a link from [info]photographers, in case you're wondering who I am.)

I've definitely had pictures that I didn't really like much when I first got them developed and then I've gone back and been surprised at how much they had grown on me. I think in my case, when I take any picture, I have an image in my mind of exactly how I would like it to turn out. And as I'm still learning the art of exposure and composition and stuff, some of the time (well, most of the time) what I end up with is not what I imagined. So I get disappointed and write the photograph off completely. Only later, when I have forgotten exactly what it was that I was aiming for, can I see the photograph in a new light and appreciate it on its own merits. That's probably just me, though.

Anyway, these are lovely. I especially like the second one.
